ABOUT THE BOOK

On a quiet Friday afternoon, Wendy answers the phone to hear her daughter utter the words no mother wants hear, “Mum, I just tried to kill myself”.

This has a devastating impact on her family as each member struggles to cope with their feelings and eventually it weakens the family bond.

Follow Wendy’s courageous fight for happiness as she faces her own battle with cancer and how she becomes a victim of domestic violence when she decides to end her unhappy marriage.

Drawing inspiration from real-life events, Eloise delves into the emotional and practical challenges in the face of suicide, cancer, and domestic violence, and the effect this has on the family unit.
